Plexamp Search doesn't

With the old plexamp I used to be able to search for an album and then listen to it. On the new plexamp (mac & iphone) searching only finds podcasts.

I then disabled podcasts at the account level which fixed that problem, now it says, “All that you seek is already within you.” I don’t believe this to be the case. Furthermore, this doesn’t not match the claim on the blog introducing v3 which says, “Search and Ye Shall Find.” Any thoughts?

Make sure you select your music library.

Yes, make sure you have the right library selected in the preferences of Plexamp
Settings - Source

Using Plex Web, edit the music library,
go to the ‘Advanced’ tab
enable the checkbox ‘Include in Dashboard’.

On server versions >=1.19.2 the option is a drop-down selector. Set it to something other than ‘Exclude from home screen and global search’.

It is selected and I can play music from it (from RECENT PLAYS), I just can’t search it.

This seems to have solved it, I had to check the checkbox for “Include in dashboard” under Manage->Libraries->Edit->Advanced. I would not have figured that out.

Thanks!

Would it be possible to add “Exclude from global search” only?

The lastest server beta has this instead

But it doesn’t seem like Include on home screen but exclude from global search (which I think is what @usaalin wants) is an option.

well it is my situation
I have 2 identical libraries but with different codecs
one must be included in global search
but I would like to check both on the home screen
