Discover broke the search function

After the introduction of the discover bs the search function is broken.

When I search MY LIBRARY for “Prodigy”, it´doesn´t show me the albums by The Prodigy I have in MY LIBRARY, or most of the tracks. It shows me ONE track from my library, and 14 different movies and TV shows from random streaming services that I don´t have an account for, and have no interest in seeing.

Plex is now officialy completely useless for music.

I just tested this and cannot reproduce it / share your experience.
Plex search results are always following this structure for me:

  • results from my/shared libraries
  • results from Plex video on demand
  • results from “Where else to watch”

Each section seems to be limited to 6 results by default (with an option to “Show More” if there’s more results.

If I’m searching for an artist name, the results from my own or shared libraries seem to follow this structure:

  1. Artist matches
  2. Albums of that artist
  3. Tracks of that artist

As for

Plex have already commented that they’re planning to provide an option to disable “Where else to watch” search results.

I sure hope this is true, and I hope that means users searches are not sent to a third party, or Plex Inc might end up with a big fat lawsuit on their hands.
