Hello guys I’m currently running 2 problems and I need some advice.
Current Setup i5 pc with 2 google drive mounts with expandrive, 2 library only movies and TV shows.
I have a library of 500 movies at the moment and it seems like every time I add a movie and do a library scan it seems to ban me I did all the necessary settings and it still does it. Any way to avoid this.
I noticed that my movie server PC only has plex and some codecs installed and that is it I don’t use that computer for anything else besides for plex. What I noticed it is that ever since I used the google drive mount and stream my movies in that format it seems that my C drive gets fulled to the point that I had to format my pc and install it again and it keeps doing it it. I don’t know what is downloading but my C: drive tends to fill up pretty quick.
I’m not entirely sure as i’m fairly new but i think your media is caching onto your C drive. I can see when i transfer files onto gdrive that it also downloads temporarily with rclone but then again it deletes itself straight after.
I’ve asked the question about the API bans on here and reddit and it seems like the only way it would become an issue is if you exceed that 750gb per user which i can’t see happening for myself right now. Only concern for me is the scanning of media/scheduled tasks which has triggered the google ban for quite a few people but at the same time others with bigger storage haven’t had this issue. i’ve turned off scheduled tasks until i can get a clear answer.
Hello well i dig a lot yesterday mate and i found out something pretty interesting, the C: drive was syncing a movie i guess i double tapped it while doing something so it was downloading the whole thing and since my hard drive is only 220gb ssd it went out quick so that was a quick fix, as for the scanning i used both tool expandrive and rclone and google stream all 3 of them kept giving me playback errors after scanning libraries, but this is how i figured it out, with expandrive it showed I was banned and wouldn’t allow me to play any movies directly or stream from plex, so I decided to give netdrive a try and wow I was impressed with them they have a setting in their main interface where it allows you to put your client and aouth code and it works like i said I tested both apps at the same time while expandrive wouldnt allow it netdrive play it so I decided to take it to another level i deleted all my library and rescan all the files and after it was done I still wasn’t banned, so I came to a conclusion that is the software, so far still not banned. I will make it clear not trying to sell any software just giving you my experience.
same I love free things and trust me this will probably be worth my money, also i tried rclone but im not digging it, I did the gdrive mount but i get lost lol.
