Sorry this combines actually tags onto one comment i saw about allowing images and videos in the same library but expands it. I would love for plex to have a similar interface as Google Photo’s. Im currently using Piwig to organize all my photos into albums for viewing. It would be great if Plex had a similar functionality.
- Photos could be organized into Collections or Galleries
- A single photo could be in multiple ‘Collections’, via tags
- Collections could be restricted to specific users
- Uncategorized content was only accessible by the main user
- Collections could be used as the screen saver/ background
- Collections could be played as a slide show
- Automatic playback with a timed delay
- Manual playback
- music can be linked to a collection to be played in the background
Of course some of the more advanced features of Piwigo would be nice, like viewing geo tags, and face taging, but i think that might be a little to much for plex. I mainly would like to have a way of creating digital photo albums that i can easily play for family and friends.
