Server Version#: tested with 1.25.6.5577 and 1.26.0.5715
Player Version#: tested with 8.31.2.31546 and all 9.x.x.xxxx versions
Beginning in Plex App v9.0.0.31675 for AndroidTV (in my case GoogleTV) the transcoding doesn’t work, the TV shows a spinning circle, and nothing happens. The media server is working and transcoding but the TV don’t show the stream. I’ve tested with CPU transcoding and GPU (nvidia) transconding with same results.
Plex App Version 8.31.2.31546 for AndroidTV works, not issue whatsoever, but starting on App version 9.0.0.31675 stopped working.
Direct Stream works in all versions.
I’ve tested with SONY GoogleTV XR-43X81J and XR-50X90J (transcoding in v9.x not working)
Tested in several iOS devices and transcoding worked without any issue.
Tested in Android SmartPhones and transconding worked without any issue.
Tested in several browsers and transcoding worked without any issue.
This is a specific issue with GoogleTV App and should be checked as soon as possible because paid users are unable to use the latest features, since it’s necessary to use an older version of Plex App for proper working.
