Whenever I try to " Grant Library Access" to a new user, I receive the following error.
“There was an unexpected error
Please visit our forums if you continue to experience problems”
This user was once associated with my current plex server, and then we deleted the user. Once I re-invited the user and tried to grant access that is when the issue occurred. The user in question is a plex pass user as well.
I have just experienced the same problem. I found some users on Reddit experiencing the same thing too within the last 7 days. It seems that the whole adding friends and granting access feature is pretty buggy and clunky.
One work around that ‘seems’ to work, is when you select the user in question, select the 3 vertical dots above their user and select ‘Manage Library Access’. This seems to shortcut the error and allow management of their access.
Alternatively, enter settings and use the ‘Manage Library Access’ section on the left side. This also seems to work.
that did it - went to Manage Library Access - then View Friends - clicked on friend that i wanted to give access to - then clicked on 3 vertical dots up top - and was then able to edit their access (give them access) - whew! Thanks for the fix.
