Hello,

I am trying to transfer music from my PC to my iPhone and then download the music files onto my iPhone. I have a Plex Pass.

On an Android phone this is very simple, you just copy and paste the mp3 files you want, and they play.

In Manage Library Access on my PC, when I try to Grant Access to myself so I can download the music onto my iPhone, it says “Request Failed with Status Code 422.”

I’ve searched through all the articles and can’t find any information about how to make this work.

I don’t have experience working with servers, but I was told this was the app to use for this purpose, and that anyone could easily use it without any experience.

I appreciate any advice you might have.

Thank you.

That’s not how you download music using the Plex app.

You can’t grant access to yourself, you already have access, so this isn’t necessary.

Not sure if this is the right program for you. The way Plex works is you setup Plex Media Server on your PC. You create a music library that points to your music folder. Once this is scanned and the files recognized, you can then access these files from any other Plex client app. From the Android and iOS apps, when viewing your music files, there should be a download button. You click on that and you get a menu with options on what to download. If you don’t see this, please provide a screenshot from the app looking at an artist within your music library.
