Green screen when hardware transcoding - AMD

Just as of today I’ve had a few reports from users telling me that the show was only showing a green screen and still playing audio. (On smart TV’s, Web clients, Phones, all places basically)

I confirmed the issue happens when plex tries to transcode. I also confirmed it is only happening when “Hardware Encoding” is on in the settings.

This only just started happening today.

I tried:

  1. Renaming the \appdata\local\plex media server\codecs folder to codecs1 forcing it to re-create it and redownload - No luck
  2. I uninstalled plex and re-installed the 1.15.2.791 version of server - No luck
  3. I uninstalled and reinstalled the video driver for my graphics card (the aforementioned AMD FirePro) - No luck.

Those I believe were the old withstanding methods to try to fix this problem. Has anyone else got any other suggestions?
