I recently performed an update and since that time, I can no longer put the library folders in grid mode. The grid symbol disappears whenever I toggle to folders from movies in the library. Am I doing something wrong? I much prefer the grid mode.

I agree with you. I really need the grid view and hope that Plex replies to your post soon.
Can someone reply to this, it became annoying that this feature has been either glitched, bug or remove due to an error, my kid doesn’t have reading age so the Thumbnails for his movies were the best way for him to know what he wanted to watch. Now without grid view is way to many movies to be scrolling through.
The Plex team has made some questionable decisions in the past when it comes to those of us who use it for personal media streaming. But it seems they’re trying on purpose to antagonize us and make us leave. Possibly so they can push more streaming partnerships. Do a forum search for “folder” under the Desktop Players category and see how many threads you can find complaining about this change. I’ve found 4 or 5 so far. And I’m replying to all of them to bump them all to the top.
Just gotta be like me and not update your server once you find a stable version that works for your use!
1.19.4.2935 has treated me well. Just gotta make sure you properly set up your router to avoid the security exploit.
