My TV guide data is not updating on the daily schedule. If i click to refresh manually all works ok.
I am running PMS on windows server 2016 and using a HD home run.
I have attached the logs, any help would be appreciated .
Having similar issue. Just checked guide and most of the channels are showing as to be announced after tomorrow. A manual refresh loaded all the programs, so clearly something isn’t running overnight properly.
How long has this been going on? I’m assuming over 10 days now since the guide data should provide 14 days and I’m down to less than 2 days of data remaining.
Thanks for the idea, I checked it and they are all dated today (9th) with 2 files from 7th and 8th. But I did delete and re-add the tuner / DVR functionality today around the time stamp that most of today’s files have.
I guess I’ll set up redundant recordings on my Windows 10 machine with Windows Media Center and a tuner just to make sure that I don’t miss anything if the guide data isn’t back by Sunday afternoon.
Mine stopped updating the guide about 10 days ago. I can refresh it manually but it’s a long process. I hit manually update and it does until 8% and then stops. The next time it does until 18% and then stops. The next time 37%. Then 43%, Then 54% and so on until it finally reaches 100% manually after about 45 minutes of manually refreshing. If I don’t manually refresh it in two days, it all goes away and I have to start over again. Plex isn’t much good unless you have a guide to watch live TV shows and record live TV shows from. Plex needs to get this fixed.
Howdy Gingellr they are aware of the issue and working on it…i think they even posted an Alert Box when you first log into to tell ppl the EPG is not working…Anyway…they are on it and hopefully wont be to long to resolved. Cow }:-o)
There was an issue giving rise to JSON Parse Error where the response for the guide refresh contained error 403 Forbidden. This should be fixed now.
Additionally Plex Media Server beta 1.14.0.5465 has retries for failed requests to fetch the guide - so that in itself would have helped whilst the issue was there
Please do manual update to the guide and once that completes ok, then incremental updates would ensure the guide remains up to date
If problems persist, please provide fresh logs from the server with debug logging enabled beforehand and also a zip of the Diagnostics directory which is within the Plex Media Server data area
