Guide shows “Unknown Airing" or "Guide is empty”

My Guide goes out to 24 hours After that, for the remainder I see only “Unknown Airing;” selecting any other day thereafter gives the “Guide is empty” error.

I’ve rebooted, refreshed the guide several times and reinstalled PMS, deleted and reinstalled the DVR. Logs have been uploaded

Howdy Skpnsf did yours do it before this latest update? Mine was never an issues but now it can be there sometimes and i may even look at it but 2 hours later or when ever it will show Blank and say something like go see the DVR settings or something…mine seems to COME and GO …

I am experiencing this as well. My recordings are still showing scheduled out two weeks, but any view in the guide only goes twelve hours. This affects both the android app as well as the web ui.

Refreshes/restarts/etc do not fix anything.

Hello, I believe it started with then last update.

It’s the same with IOS. Something on the PMS is preventing the guide from updating fully. When I do a manual refresh, it might get to 20% or 30% then just stop… no errors.

Interesting if “it’s not Plex”, because I’m still getting listings out two weeks in the future. I have new recordings scheduled that far out each day, with channel and episode info.

What’s odd it doesn’t really effect the recording schedule…

My scheduled recordings are impacted. Anywhere the guide is missing, my programs are not recording at those times. I’m missing a bunch of scheduled recordings and it’s getting worse.

Howdy Skpnsf, thats how mine works if i manually keep refreshing after it stops i can get it to get to a full 100% but its like i have the re start it 10x or more it averages 15-20% most times but sometimes its only 5% but that is the only way I have found to get it to work.

UPDATE EDIT:: Plex sent me a BETA Update to test the Guide, Version, 1.14.0.5465… Now before yall Run out and do this …this is on the Beta side and I have my system broke up into 2 sides 1 Normal and 1 Beta so I can isolate them if is an issue…So for Now I will just say its working …But I dont know about Updating itself like it used to …but they did say they fixed ALOT of issues (12 i think) Anyway if you know how to go back in your version then by all means try it but if you dont know then maybe wait for the full testing to be done…i will REpost on TUES to say if it Auto Updates but as to the issues SKPNSF & I were having to where we had to keep re clicking to get an updated guide this may have fixed it…I know I only did it once in this Manually Update…so now I wait for the Auto…

There was an issue giving rise to JSON Parse Error where the response for the guide refresh contained error 403 Forbidden. This should be fixed now.

Additionally Plex Media Server beta 1.14.0.5465 has retries for failed requests to fetch the guide - so that in itself would have helped whilst the issue was there

Please do manual update to the guide and once that completes ok, then incremental updates would ensure the guide remains up to date

If problems persist, please provide fresh logs from the server with debug logging enabled beforehand and also a zip of the Diagnostics directory which is within the Plex Media Server data area

I have confirmed, the issue is fixed for me without updating to the beta PMS. I did a manual guide refresh and got to 100%. Unfortunately all scheduled recordings still showed it had no programs to record. Once I removed and re-added my programs, my recordings have resumed and programs are recording on schedule .

I have set my preferences to update the guide nightly with maintenance.

Unfortunately there was a reported case of a repeat failure today for a user. We have escalated back to our metadata provider. Frequency of failures went down yesterday and day before.

Scheduled Tasks does not actually do any refresh. The updates are only incremental now every 4 hours. That entry needs to be removed

do you have logs covering the time when the refresh completed. Schedules should not be affected

I did the refresh yesterday. I can upload a set of logs if you would like.

The logs have wrapped round. Only covering about 4 hours.
If logs are not captured soon after an issue, could look into increasing the number of log files - but would probably need to set to very high number eg 40

When reporting issues like this, please also include screenshots and indication as to exactly what got lost

On the latest beta I’m still experiencing unknown airing or guide is empty. Refreshing guide from options seems to go through but when I go back to the guide it is often not working correctly.

My issue was related to an NTP issue. Incorrect date/time was causing guide to not work correctly.
