Guide Won't Cooperate with Comcast Channels over 1000

I have disabled channels below 1000 in the HDHomeRun web application (because in the Comcast guide, similar channels are grouped together above 1000), and the initial guide scan picks them up, then scrambles the numbers. This leads to “can’t tune this channel” messages because the guide thinks channel 1002 is channel 2 which cannot be tuned.

This seems like a big fail in basic functionality. My understanding is that Comcast is an above average sized provider with literally dozens of customers.

I have seen many complaints about this but no answers. Plex? Are you out there?

I am also having the same issue. Using xmltv.xml file from zap2it to get it patched, but the channel icons are having problem.

Thanks for being on top of this. Same issue here. I reverted back to Version 1.23.2.4656 for it to work, but had to re-do everything manually, which takes forever!

PS comcast here as well and have all channels below 1000 x’d out.

Feel free to stop on by, Plex techs. Obvious, reproducible, significant and clearly identified problem here.

I promise not to let this thread die on the vibe without a solution.

@sa2000, does anyone on the Plex team have any insights into this? Are there logs or any additional information that should be provided in order to get some help?

I’ve had this exact issue open since June…
Moved to Jellyfin as Live TV and DVR works fine there.

Still no fix…

Updated to the latest server version, and the Comcast “upper” channel range, over 1000, is working as expected.
