Missing channels for Comcast in 94062 - again

Server Version#: 1.21.1.3830
Player Version#: Mac 1.25.0.1511-47afccd4
Tuner Make/Model: HDHomeRun Prime
Guide/Lineup name: Comcast (867 channels)
Using XMLTV?: No
Channel number/Name: 817

This is a nearly identical problem to one that I have reported in detail before, so please see this post as well:

Previously, the problem was that Plex was assigning me the Comcast San Mateo EPG, but I actually receive Comcast Palo Alto.

The new guide system no longer names the EPG so I can’t tell what I’m getting, but it looks like I have once again incorrectly been assigned San Mateo. The only other options are “Comcast (1104 channels)” which identifies a lot of channels incorrectly, or “Comcast (78 channels)” which is missing most of the channels and has no HD channels at all.

The problem can be worked around by turning off channel 1147 and reassigning 817 to 1147, but this is a workaround, not a fix. It doesn’t tell me what other channels I’m missing or how to get them back.

I hope this doesn’t get ignored. For reference, the “Channels” app has the correct EPG, so this is not an insoluble problem.

It’s been two weeks.

I assume Plex doesn’t have an official support channel? Only this forum?

One month without a reply and I don’t really know what to do now. I guess I wouldn’t mind the lack of support except that I’m actually paying for this product. I suppose a chargeback would do the trick, but how awful to even have to consider that.

Yea, the Plex support model is a bit lacking. Have you contacted SiliconDust? Maybe it’s a tuner issue. Either way, you’ll get much quicker response from them and they can probably steer you in the right direction.

I know it’s not the tuner because the “Channels” server/app gets the channel lineup correct.

Even so, the SilicondDust folks might be able to help.
