i just installed rasplex to my class 10 SD card (only one i have) that has been functioning flawlessly running Raspbmc. I would like to run Plex, but if it is not capable of running the h.264 or other HD quality codex then it is worthless for me.
Starting Plex Home Theater (0.9.9.7-20130706-6a9f616b), Platform: Linux (rasplex - Version: 0.2.1, 3.6.11 armv6l). Built on Jul 6 2013
fresh install.
The lower standard quality videos seem to play well enough even though the interface is pathetically slow, but none of my HD quality videos play (720 or 1080).
I am running the most current plexmediaserver on CentOS 6.4 fully patched and updated.

well then as there is zero reply after over 24hrs, this must be a dead project. sorry to say as it does have promise, but for right now RasPlex is an absolute failure and does not offer anything that it sells.
If it fails to do its basic job of playing videos, what good is it?
Remove your "why RasPlex is better then RaspBmc" section from your home page as it is nothing but a flat out lie.
While Plex in general has a much cleaner and nicer UI then XMBC, the Raspberry Pi versions are miles apart with the XMBC ahead and the Plex so far behind it should not even be on the starting block without being called a complete beta.
The only thing that is good about RasPlex is how much faster it is to install then any of the other RPi OSs ive had the pleasure of working with.

Usability
2 just to slow, sorry but taking over 1min to enter a media folder is not usable.
Functionality
0 if a media player can not play media, it is worthless.
Will I recommend this to other RPi users looking for a media player for their home entertainment center.
sorry to hear that you can`t get it working, but most people have no problems. i have installed +10 pi`s with rasplex and all of them will play h.264 1080p files up to 25 gb.
