H265 crashes plex on laptop

I have plex on android, IOS, samsung tv, roku, pcs and laptops in my home. Everything streams fine to all devices but one of my laptops. A Dell 1750. VLC will play any h265 file with no problem, 720p, 1080p, 4k. whatever. Plex crashes instantly every time I try to play one of these files. The laptop has Windows 10 on it. Any ideas why h265 files would crash plex?

I just started noticing this on an E7450. I haven’t investigated yet but will share any info I find. /following

Its just the plex player that does it. It also lags like crazy at full screen even on h264. This laptop is core i7 with 16 gigs of ram. VLC or even plex on the web browsers play fine, all h265 full screen smooth. But the plex player in windows just locks up, crashes or stutters awful.
