When try to play (HEVC), also known as H.265 on the plex desktop app the app crashes I have version 1.67.1.3665-771934d3. But I can view it in a web browser just fine.
Usually this is hardware decoding causing a crash when playing certain codec types. You can try turning it off and see if that makes a difference.

Sorry for the late replay I had other things that came up.
How do you turn it off?
Settings → Player
If that doesn’t work, I would try and reinstall the app
DO NOT ACCIDENTLY UNINSTALL YOUR SERVER
Uninstalling
Windows
To completely remove Plex for Windows from your Windows computer, first make sure Plex is not running.
Initiate an uninstall for Plex as normal via the Control Panel in Windows.
Then delete the following directory:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Plex

My job is having travel a lot as of late.
I will try to test this to night.
Turning off hardware decoding fixed the problem.
