Handbrake question: HD HomeRun recordings MPEG2 to H.264

Hi,

I am having some problems converting over-the-air standard definition HDHomeRun cartoon recordings (MPEG2) to H.264 MKV files. I’ve played around with several of the settings on Handbrake but I still get some lines around the edges. I realize that this forum may not be the best play to ask for help but I’m hoping someone where may have encountered the same problem or know of a good solution. Obviously, this is my first time posting on this forum so please let me know if I need to provide more information or I’m doing something incorrectly. Thank you for the help..

Here is a picture of the lines:

Here are the settings:

Here is my activity log:

Just to verify … those blocky artifacts aren’t present in the original?

Damn! Don’t I feel stupid. I’m so sorry. :man_facepalming: I didn’t see it on the HD recordings so I thought I was doing something wrong. Thank you so much for the quick reply!

I’ll post this question/problem on the HD Homerun forum but does anyone have any ideas on here why the HD Homerun is doing that? I have the HD Homerun Duo.
