Hang tight while we look for your content

I moved my music library to a new folder on my Nas. I have plex scanning my library to update the location of the files. I started this last Friday it is now Wednesday and this scan is still going. I have 70Gb of music I have ripped from my old CD library so the data is large but it seems like when I first setup plex it did not take this line to scan the library.

The Folder it is scanning is my Itunes library so it is pointed to that folder. Is there something in that folder that can hang the scan? Is this normal? Should I direct it right to the music folder in the iTunes folder? There is hardly any network activity across this two device on the network, unlike if rescan the movie folder.

Just don’t know if this is normal or not.

Scanning a Premium Music library can take a very long time.

It may take forever if there are folders full of tracks from mixed sources (i.e. not from a single, known album) and more than ~65 tracks in a single folder.

A strict folder organization by Artist > Albums > Tracks is highly recommended

If your files are not very well structured, a non-premium (last.fm) library is probably better to use.
