Hi !
My OS hard drive crashed so I had to get a new one, got a shiny Samsung 850 Pro 512GB
Now , my database for Plex is on another drive, so I wasn’t too concerned about re-scaning everything…Dear Lord, was I wrong. I am pretty sure I am the problem and that I’m doing something wrong.
So this is the path where I point Plex to:

And this is the path where the data is stored on the drive:

Now, After pointing everything to the right place, I restart Plex but nothing happens. Do I have to add librarys and then Plex is going to recognize the data ?? Do I have to do something else or am I doomed ??
Thanks
My setup is PMS is on my C drive and all my media files are on a NAS, drive Y I believe. It seems to work fine that way.
I didn’t have your problem but I did reinstall PMS and PMP a few times never having to reload. Try updating your library and Analyze each media file. Just guessing, so test one file first to see if that works.

You did almost everything right.
But if you installed Windows from scratch on the new drive, you Windows user now has a different ID.
Which means that it currently may have not enough access ‘rights’ to access the data on the D: drive.
You must make sure that the Windows user, under which PMS is running, has ‘full access’ privileges to at least the folder D:\Multimedia\Plex Metadata (and all of its subfolders and the files within).

Well, you are right. I opened my Roku and everything was there…But, everything in the library had “unavailable” beside it. So I followed the link you gave me but I am still having the same problem. Everything is there but with that “unavailable” bubble beside it. If I try to watch it anyway it starts buffering then ask’s me if the drive is loaded…
Call up the mediainfo on a video
It should say the drive letter and folder name where Plex expects the media files.
Are the media files still available under this path?
My bad… The drive on the NAS got unmounted for some reason , now everything is good and working.
Thanks for the help guys !
