Ok, So I was getting the dreaded media unavailable error, to which I found out that when I removed my ext hard drive the last time I didn’t do it safely so it renamed the drive and that has lead me here.
I figured the only way to get it to recognize it was to delete the libraries off of plex and add them again. NOT SO EASY. I went through the add library prompt and found the drive, then found the folder ( which when selected showed all of my movies) which was great. I selected add folder and BOOM no files loaded.
What have I done wrong and what can I do to fix it.
Go back to and edit the original library that points to the old drive letter, ‘add folder’ and point it to your ‘new’ drive letter and refresh library and see if that works. If it works, once it’s all refreshed, delete the drive/letter of the folder of the drive from the library that doesn’t exist anymore.

(We know that’s not really what you did, but to Plex, the data is in a new location due to the drive letter change)
