Hardware Accelerated Transcoding: How to set GPU vs CPU?

There has got to be a way to force Plex to use my GPU. I’ve a 1080Ti, which far outperforms my NUC i5-8559u with Intel Quick Sync in transcoding. Yet I’ve never seen my GPU used for transcoding, only my CPU. This is absolutely ridiculous that I bought a Plex pass specifically for hardware accelerated transcoding, only to find that Plex will only use my CPU when I know for fact that the GPU is better equipped. Is my only option to ditch the Intel NUC and buy AMD in order to force Plex to use my GPU? Or does Plex have some sort of limitation on using eGPU’s (Razer Core)?
I’ve read dozens of forum posts today, spent nearly 4 hours searching and reading and am no closer to having an answer. Help. Anyone. Please.

You haven’t really provided much useable info or details.

Plex normally uses whatever is configured for the primary display in windows.

The quick sync should be as good as the nvidia gpu.

Try disable tone mapping.

Some other questions…

Are you trying to use this headless?

If so, plug in a monitor or hdmi dummy plug.

Is this bare metal or virtualization?

Are you trying to run plex as a windows service? Don’t.

Are you trying to use RDP to access remotely? Don’t.

Without logs reproducing the issue, all anyone can do is guess.
