If I have hardware transcoding turned on with a QNAP TS-451+, Plex will fail to create optimized versions from 10-bit HDR H.265 sources. Non-HDR (8-bit) H.265 files will convert. If I turn the HW transcoding option off, then it works. Can Plex fallback to SW transcoding if HW is limited to certain encoding schemes? Also it would be nice to be able to strip out audio tracks in an optimized version, and have the option of container type. Currently my 4K UHD files have TrueHD audio tracks (for future proofing), AC3-5.1 (for current hardware) and 2-channel Dolby Pro Logic II files (for handheld devices). If I have a 1080p optimized version, I would like to remove the TrueHD audio. Currently I end up with 2 5.1 tracks in the optimized file.
