Has Amazon Cloud Drive now been permanently dropped from Plex Cloud or is a fix still being worked on for possible future support?
Unfortunately, the challenges with Amazon Drive have proven insurmountable at this time, so we have decided to remove Amazon Drive as a storage option for Plex Cloud for the foreseeable future.
so why do i have my amazon drive mounted as a folder on my plex server reliably and you guys can’t get this going with an armada of programmers? The way the ads looked it was made sound like that you guys are working with amazon together to make this happen so what is the real story on why amazon gets ditched?

An ‘armada’ of programmers means an even bigger armada of users. Scalability isn’t just a word — you have to take into account things you would never think of being a mere consumer. What works for you doesn’t mean it’ll work for thousands like you, simultaneously.
I believe there was (and probably still is) some sort of agreement, but I also believe there’re some serious technical challenges. While ACD is viable as a remote drive, it can be less reliable as a streaming source, at least for now. It’s cheap, and there must be a catch.
Well it has been reliable for me even while streaming . Copying large ammounts of data (300Tb+ ) to amazon with it has not been a problem so far i only had to hit retry twice during the whole upload .
In my opinion completely ditching amazon drive is a bad idea since it is the only viable and affordable option for unlimited storage at this moment .Just keep working on it even if it has some bugs and disconnects every once in a while .just make it timeout after so many minutes of no data transfer and restart upload it’ll go eventually .Lil problems in beta SW are expected and it can only get better over time .

Yes, I read the email too!! I was asking if “the foreseeable future” meant they were just giving up on it completely or whether they were going to continue to work on it behind the scenes.

I was basically typing in anything at all so I could mark the question as answered. From what I have gathered from various threads on here, there are no plans at all to reintroduce ACD for the foreseeable future. This is not to say however that things may change further down the line but assume for now that it is gone, dead and buried.

Hey BigStevie thanks for your tip with google drive. I already uploaded 1,5TB without any issues. The service works much better than ACD. B)
