Should I keep Amazon drive unlimited storage plan still to use with plex?
I doubt the problems will ever get resolved as Amazon has been and probably will continue to be totally uncooperative.
If your only effective use for Amazon drive is, as mine was, to use it with Plex’s Cloud server then you probably should cancel it as I have.
There are other usages that it can be used for but, like just about any cloud storage solution, the only time it is useful is if your upload is fast enough to make it viable for the purpose. However it could be a good backup solution and you can also use it with a local server with several different pieces of software that could turn it into a drive for Plex to use. One advantage of that would be that many cloud drive emulators allow encryption which is not allowed with Plex Cloud.
It is too sure to use as a mapped drive, but it is a decent backup solution.

I actually used Amazon as a mapped drive (using Stablebit’s Cloud Drive) and it worked well streaming from my local Plex server. It might even be a viable storage medium if my upload was fast enough but, alas, my upload is so slow that making any use of Amazon’s storage is nearly impossible. Just getting my movie library in the cloud would take me well over a year and my TV library is much larger than my movie library. I wist I had a better ISP option but where I am now (rural Tennessee) we have two choices, Charter and AT&T, and AT&T is at best 6 up and 2 down. Charter’s upload is just as bad but, more importantly, their download is 60+.
The download (and the speed of the server itself) is what is important but video is VERY undemanding and even 6 to 10 is plenty for most streaming.
I can use Amazon’s services for streaming just fine the only limitation that stops me is getting my media to Amazon but that problem is apparently insurmountable.
My experiments didn’t work out very well. Playback was super laggy. My internet is 75/75, so that wasn’t an issue. Maybe it was the software I was using (ExpanDrive).
