Tuner Make/Model: Silicon Dust Homerun 4k (4 channel OTA) + 2) HD Homerun Prime cable card devices - 3 tuners each.

Greetings everyone - newbie here.
I have 3 Silicon dust tuners 2 HD Homerun Prime
cable-card 3 tuners each and 1 Homerun 4K (OTA 4 tuner)
The HD homerun devices all work fine with the HD Homerun app, however in Plex I can configure the 3 devices just fine but I have a 4th device showing up which is a Phantom tuner that cannot be configured. It shows 6 tuners which is both of the cable card Prime tuners added together. It also shows the device ID of one of the cable card tuners.
No matter what I’ve tried I cannot get rid of this phantom tuner - I’ve re-installed Plex - stopped all HD Homerun services even disconnected the tuner devices and this phantom tuner still shows up. I need this to go away so I can continue finish setting up a new device.
Their has to be an embedded cache file somewhere that is holding this information.
Thanks in advance
Jan
Can you show a screenshot of this “phantom” tuner, as it appears on the setup screen? Something like this:
In particular, I’m curious about the model name, and IP address and port.
Did you ever try to set up xTeVe or Threadfin on your network? They could possibly present an aggregated virtual tuner such as what you’re seeing.
Plex Media Server stores information about the tuners it finds in its database, in the media_provider_resources table (along with guide information). You could potentially remove it from there. However keep in mind:
- You must use the Plex SQLite utility, not any other sqlite3 utility; and,
- You must stop Plex Media Server before making any database modifications; and,
- You should make a backup of your database before making any changes.
This is the screen shot of the Phantom tuner, the HID is in fact one of the real cable card tuners and it’s showing as 2 which is really the 3rd as the tuners are numbered 0 thru 2.
I did attempt to open the db file with sqlite but could not get anything to work? If i entered .tables for example I got nothing. This has to be a bug in the way Plex scans for tuners. The other odd thing is these cable card devices have 3 tuners each not 6. I’m guessing it combined the two devices together to come up with 6 and also pointing to the last tuner (2).
I also enlisted the help of MS copilot - this has AI stumped as well.
