Have reception for a channel, but can't map it to Program Guide

I have a station I get good reception on, and shows up in my channel list (18.1 and series, starting with station WNGH as you can see below). Unfortunately, the mapping to this station for program guide information is missing…and I can’t add it without creating an entirely new DVR JUST for that set of stations. That is something I want to avoid…I’d just like the choice to add the channel station mapping to the DVR!

How can the mapping be adjusted to allow this station to exist?

I’m in a suburb of Atlanta GA, the station is broadcast from Chatsworth GA…supposedly it should be weak, but comes in just fine, per the vector map below.

See this thread :

In short, try different zip codes, one in the middle of the 2 transmitters sites.

I have the same exact problem and mentioned this about a month ago. Just outside Philly city limits and I am pulling in 76 channels! I can only map 45! Annoying. It would be nice if there was a lookup feature where you could put in call letters of the station. (Sorta like the movie or TV search when matching fails…)

As stated by rouq - check out that old thread I made. Changing zip codes helped out. Took me a while and I used one pretty far away from me (seriously, like 60-80 miles away). It did fix it and gave me the available channels for mapping.

I appreciate the idea, but that is not a solution. If you pick a zip code in another place, it won’t have all the channels you need in your home market. Maybe PLEX can allow multiple zip codes or my idea above. (Lookup call letters)

Perhaps it will be a solution for the OP.

If you don’t like the idea of choosing a different zip code between the stations you are wanting then enjoy the 45 channels you have mapped. I personally wouldn’t care if my DVR was setup with a zip code 60 miles away if I was able to map all the channels I receive with my antenna. I wish I had 76 channels available and would gladly use the different zip code to be able to configure my DVR with all channels.

It would be nice if a manual selection of stations could be done for at least 100 miles…I can’t imagine OTA reception going much beyond that.
