I am having and issue with my channel guide for the live TV feature. I am using and HD HomeRun Connect. Through their app I am able to get 44 Channels. The Plex guide only shows 42 Channels. I only care about one of the missing channels. I currently reside in Brooklyn , NY. I am missing Channel 41.1 WXTV-DT Univision. I am able to see the channel with good signal strength the the HomeRun App. I deleted my DVR and recreated it and did notice that it was unchecked. So i selected the channel and noticed that the description side there was not channel mapping found for 41.1. Is there anything that I can do?
I did it several times also tried a different zip code within NYC and for some reason it still comes in unselected in the device channels section and in the guide channel section the station name is not listed, it skips channel 41.1 an only lists 39.15 and 42.2.
After ensuring that it is enabled, give it a couple hours to populate all the data. Sometimes it just takes a while for the initial data to be populated.
You can also manually change the channel mappings in that screen as well.
Once you Check it there is nothing in the drop down menu to the right?
If nothing populates for channel 41.1 try re-scanning for channels. It’s obviously receiving it just fine if you can view via the HomeRun app. It’s even marked as HD in the image you included. Try checking the channel and then manually selecting 41.1 from the drop down and include an image of that.
I tried rescanning a couple of times and waited for 24 hours in between and still nothing. I don’t know if its not listed in the channel database where it pulls it from, maybe?
What zip code are you in what others have you tried? It is possible that for some reason Gracenote is not listing the 41.1 for the zip code you are entering, although I find it odd that they list the 41.2 sub channel broadcast by the same company. Have you tried a zip code closer to Patterson NJ? Other users that live for example in Canada have found that picking a zip code closer to the Canada/US border allows them to configure Plex with all the channels they receive from Canada and the US.
i live in 11207, I have tried 10003 which downtown manhattan, tried 07501 for paterson as you suggested and 07399 for jersey city, nj. No luck what so ever. I was really hoping for the NJ zipcodes to do trick. It just skips over that channel.
I have tried a couple of other zip codes myself including 10118 where the Empire State Building is at which is where the tower is located for the channel. I have posted an internal message looking for someone that can send this to Gracenote for their attention.
Hopefully will have a report made to Gracenote regarding this issue. I have been trying other zip codes as well and was unsuccessful in finding any zip code that included the 41.1 channel.
I received word today that Gracenote actually responded that this issue was resolved. If you want to try your zip code again. Totally understand if you don’t want to setup the DVR again though since you now have the channels all mapped with a different zip code.
