Have to reinstall Plex Player to get Live TV to appear

Live TV & DVR disappears from Windows Plex Player client until I reinstall the Plex Media Player client. Once reinstalled, the Live TV & DVR appears on Windows player client.
I’ve tried reverting the Windows player client versions and upgrading/downgrading the server.
The server has the WinTV-dualHD tv tuner USB dongle and i’m streaming LiveTV from the server to my Windows PC. If I dont close the Plex Player after a reinstall, the Live TV function works fine. once I close it, the Live TV option disappears.

Any suggestions or thoughts on what would cause me to have to reinstall Plex Player everytime that i close it?

It’s under More → Plex → Live TV.

Pin it to your sidebar.

If your specific server is missing then make sure you enable the guide source in the app by Selecting Live TV and going to the 3 dots in the upper right.

There isn’t a “More” option on the Windows Plex app.
I also dont have the 3 dots in the upper right.
The 3 dots on the lower right have the options of Status and Servers.
My server shows up and is Active.

I do get the “More” option if I’m RDP’d into my server and have the Plex Webpage open. Live TV & DVR show up there.

Re-installing the Plex app on my Windows client will bring Live TV & DVR back as an option until I close the app.

Post screenshots of before and after of the Plex app for Windows. Include the whole left hand selection column.

Upgrade to 1.42.1 before doing this.
