Having frequent but irregular failures to stream from Server

Server Version#: 1.18.3.2129
Player Version#: Various - Shield with Kodi + Plex, Samsung client

Happy new year all,

I’m having regular failure to stream / crashes midway through a stream.

I’m running PMS on Ubuntu 16.04. Content is stored in Gdrive, mounted via plexdrive.

From time to time (weekly) - Plex will crash in a stream and then I won’t be able to restart it. This can generally be solved if I reboot the server.

I can post the full logs if useful. Any help appreciated. This is driving me nuts!

I’m getting errors like this:-

Hi @eb98jdb are you able to list the files from command line after a crash? So my thought is that the connection to GDrive fails and then Plex have no media to play.

Hi - yes, I can - they’re all still there and I can start other files streaming - also if I go back a day or so later I’ll be able to start streaming the same file.

May I have the ZIP of the log files please which capture this? Snippets posted in-thread aren’t enough.

Hi Chuck - have attached. Thanks

It’s not so much the 110’s which are of primary concern but the 104’s. Either playback terminated by closing the app or the device sleeping.

The Android player client is disconnecting abruptly then failing to respond after the termination of playback which is causing the 110’s

Do you have any idea what might be causing it? It’s an Nvidia Shield running the latest version of the Plex client

I use a few here in my testing. Would you mind looking for me and reporting which specific version?

Checked now - it’s v7.26.0.14578

\thanks

I used that version before it was released. I will switch now and start retesting.

Is this running on WiFi or wired ?

Wired.

Thanks.

I’ve just had the Plex Server go inaccessible (which is something that also happens)

Error message in the logs is

Jan 08, 2020 17:29:06.564 [0x7f09464de700] ERROR - Couldn’t accept new TLS connection: Too many open files
