Having Issues with Direct Play on Local devices, looking for help

Hi all,

I recently upgraded my server from windows to unraid and so far have had no issues. I installed tailscale vpn and and ssl certbot from this github repository (GitHub - kchristensen/udm-le: Let's Encrypt support for Ubiquiti UniFi OS) on my UDM-pro and since then have had issues with direct play from my plex server.

As you can see from the screenshots, the connection is fine for some of the devices on my local network, however others are having issues with direct play (getting indirect connection from my LG CX65 for example).

I can also upload a screenshot of my firewall rules if needed. But I currently have the following firewalls set up:

Allow Plex Remote Traffic (internet in)
TCP
Source: Any
Port: Any
Destination: Server IP (192.168.1.231)
Port: Plex Port (32400)

Allow Plex Local (internet Local)
TCP
Source: Private IPs (192.168.1.0/24)
Port: Any
Destination: Server IP (192.168.1.231)
Port: Plex Port (32400)

Allow Local Plex Traffic (LAN In)
TCP
Source: Private IPs (192.168.1.0/24)
Port: Any
Destination: Server IP (192.168.1.231)
Port: Plex Port (32400)

Have you tried adding the local IPs to your LAN Networks in settings → Networks

Just added it then restarted the container, still having the same indirect connection from the TV

Also currently looking through the firewall logs of my UDM, and seeing this “Drop Invalid State” Firewall rule catching a lot of requests from the TV. Tried disabling it and still getting the same thing also.

Sorry, I forgot to ask. Do you have all of your devices IP set to a static IP in your router? If not, do that.

LG app does not support PGS subtitles so you can forget about direct play. Try to turn off subtitles and see if solves your issues.
