PC & Laptop Devices Unable to Direct Play - Everything Else Fine

Hi,

I have several devices in VLAN 22 (192.168.22.0/24).

My server sits in another VLAN: 192.168.0.0 /24

The issue I’m having is that my PC/Macbook and my Wife’s macbook cannot stream directly from the Plex server.
Whereas my phone & TV can do so no issue.

If I put my pc or mac into the same VLAN as the plex server, then it works without issue.

I’ve got the logs here… but I don’t see anything obvious that would mean the laptops only cannot “direct play” to the server?

it is being treated as remote and if remote access not working then it will use plex relay which is limited to 2mpbs. It saying “indirect” on Rick and Morty without the local IP is indication that is what is happening.

Do you get the same with the dedicated pc/mac apps rather than using the web browser?

You seem to have verbose logging enabled on you server which adds way to much to logs to see what is going on. Please turn verbose logging off.

Thanks for getting back to me.

After you and other people’s feedback, it seems the web app isn’t great when compared to the dedicated apps on mac/phone/tv etc.

Using the app works great so I’ll just use that!
