Having trouble connecting to Plex Server from ATV2. Absolutely Plex Beginner...

Hi Folks,

 

I use the apple tv (atv2 Jailbroken iOS 5.3) since a few years now with xbmc.

 

Now I wanted to try Plex!

 

I installed the Plex server on my osx server (Mac mini) and configured it, added some media to the bibliothek. 

 

From my MBP I can connect to the Plex Server using Plex Home Theatre.app.

 

BUT after I have installed Plex on the ATV2 (https://forums.plex.tv/topic/88905-plexconnect-on-atv2jailbroken-launchctl/page-12 Post 231), the plex app didn't find the server 'Plex Media Server:0'. 

 

So I don't know what to do. I read something to use the Trailers.app but that doenst work either. 

 

Isn't there a step-by-step how to?

Probably if you enable Multicast on your router you can use GDM (instead of fixed IP), this will give your aTV2 the flexibility to find more than one Plex Server in your LAN.
