Having trouble getting Plex to sort albums by type

Player Version#: 4.80.0

I somehow ummatched my Nirvana collection from having it sorted out like this:

…where you can see an Albums sections along with Singles & EPs and below that a Compilation section.

Instead, it is all under 1 section like this:

I’ve tried rematching and get a match of 100…

… but clicking on it doesn’t help and surprisingly doesn’t include a band photo, which I’ve started noticing more and more as I add albums to the library.

Can someone help me?

Are other artists showing the various release types, or is it just Nirvana? I’ve never heard of this problem with just one artist.

Sorry, I didn’t pick up on that. I don’t know, unless something’s interfering with communication in the matching process. You might check the logs after trying to match, or post them here so someone can look at them, to see if there are any clues.

You might also try using the MusicBrainz Artist MBID to make sure it’s finding the correct match.

Also, if you ever need to manually match an album or artist using the “Fix Match” feature, you can paste the MBID into the appropriate field: You can use the Release MBID in the Album field of the Fix Match form: [image] Make sure you have the correct MBID. You want the Release, not the Release Group. If you’re matching an Artist, you need the Artist MBID. [image]
