I purchased a hd homerun flex 4k and currently use plex. I have the season pass that allows live tv and dvr in plex.
When I setup the flex 4k plex can see the device and adds it properly seeing the channels and device. When trying to watch live tv it works for about 15-30 seconds then crashes. Also if I try to record a show it might record 2min of the show and that is it. If I do not use plex and use the hd app it is fine.
Setup consists of:
plex server - mac mini m1 (hard wired)
nas - synology (hard wired)
streaming devices - apple tv 4k hard wired & 2 apple tv 4k wireless
wireless - asus rt-ax88u
Anyone have any suggestions on fixing this? Wondering if I am missing a setting. Sucks as I bought this to use in plex

Server running in docker on Debian. Player is on Mac but same behavior on AppleTV on iOS, via wifi or hardwired.
I’m having the same issue here. Stream will start then after a few seconds stop. The console says the stream died from under us without any further details. I’ve tried disabling transcoding and it still happens. I am able to watch using the iOS channels app as well as the hdhomerun app. This setup worked previously.

Playback works fine in the HDHomeRun’s software on any device, but Plex can neither play nor record TV. Scheduled recordings in the last few days have all failed and been removed from the DVR schedule - there isn’t even an error report. I’ve deleted and recreated the DVR within Plex and the guide has finished repopulating, but most of the TV channels only show “Unknown airing” for current shows and at least the next 24 hours (radio channels seem mostly OK). Even after recreating the DVR, I still can’t play any channel, TV or radio. Mostly there is no feedback from Plex, sometimes it reports a playback error “could not tune channel. Please check your tuner or antenna”. There’s nothing wrong with either the tuner or the antenna.
Edit: restarting the jail seems to have restored live TV playback. Still waiting to see if the guide repopulates and then allows scheduled recordings.
Edit 2: Guide’s back, recordings seem to be working again. Just yet another glitch in Plex that’s cured by a reboot.
