This also occurs for me when using the Roku or GoogleTV apps. I use the WinTV dual tuner on server PC. This does not occur using the IOS or Windows apps. As such I had to watch football on my (non server) PC. Not happy. I have PlexPass, Windows 11, using 8th Gen i5 CPU with onboard video for HW transcoding. Plex Media Server.5.log (2.2 MB)
Non-error behavior in log is from IOS and/or Windows apps.
Same here… are the devs viewing this…
now the strange part is, its only effecting my FireTV max, my FireTV cubes are working still… so its not directly the Homerun maybe.
Same issue, after the update, LiveTV no longer functions. The Tuner works as I can see with its native app, but Plex does not seem to be able to play it. Also i have noticed after a while my Plex Media Server seems to get hung up and I have to restart it. Though it wont start, I would have to restart the computer itself.
yes happening here also Using HD Home Run Quatro shows in guide click on to pay getting playback error or time out , uninstalled re installed and tried everything on fix using window 10 And plex server 1.14.0.8992
Plex Web Version 4.136.1
also HDHomerun app alone working fine also updated and restarted no fix
also happens on the Plex web app, desktop app, FIRETV app, mobile app. Doesn’t matter.
Update work around TEMP!! work for now but wants to update
(Rolling back to 1.40 worked on restoring functionality for me, but i woke up this morning and seems like plex auto upgraded back to 1.41. Reinstalling 1.40 made it work again for those that don’t want to wait for plex to fix.)
This is broken for me too. I can use a plethora of other apps to access the antenna feeds from HDHomerun with zero issues, they all load immediately and are flawless. It’s only broken when trying to watch it via Plex. It happens on the Plex web app, desktop app, Apple TV app, mobile app. Doesn’t matter.
@paganomt_gmail.com and @MortadoWA thanks for the logs. There are some similarities across these logs so that could be something. I’ll be raising this issue internally.
Anyone else observing this issue please share your logs or at least some basic information about the server host (Mac, Linux, Windows, NAS?, CPU?, GPU?) and client where the issue is being observed (Web, Roku, iOS, etc).

Correct – rolling back to 1.40 reinstates Live TV functionality. And in my case, I am using a Hauppauge WinTV stick that broke with 1.41. Windows 10 here. Clients are Android TV and Web (same issue on both).
Good call on rolling back. I set updates to “ask me” so hopefully it won’t do it by itself. I hope the issue will get fixed as I am a believer in updates and this is the first one in my five years that has actually broken something that affected me…
Hope you find a solution. As of 2-3 days ago, none of my Plex applications nor any mobile apps are capable of streaming videos from HD Homerun nor most of my NAS stored videos.
Devices with issue: Roku Ultra boxes, iPhone, iPad, and MacBook Air.
As possible clues:
Streaming from Plex TV channels works, but not Live TV(HD Homerun) channels.
At times, I am now receiving “DRM” errors when videos fail to load or play.
Let me know if I need to capture any logs for you.
Also, do you have instructions on how to revert to an older version of Plex? It seems to force me to stay with the latest (non-functional) version.
Good luck and thank you.
The issue isn’t on the clients, it’s on the plex media server. Which NAS server are you using, if QNAP you should be able to download and re-install the qpkg from previous version.
I have an Asustor NAS (AS7004T-F8D6) running their Asustor Data Management (ADM).
This is where the Plex (PMS) resides, but being a novice on the NAS I don’t know (other than using their built-in apps) how to update other software on this system. Thanks for any tips you can offer.
I’m not a Asustor user, but is there anywhere to manually install the sdk? e.g. App Central > Management > Manual Install > Browse" · Select the .apk file you downloaded. (find this in the url i sent) · Click Upload.
Yes, there are “.apk” files that get downloaded for the Plex (PMS) then I do a manual install through the Asustor “App Central” app. Unfortunately, it recognizes the release date and won’t allow older “.apk” files to install. (I have kept all of the older “.apk” files).
