HD Homerun Prime additional channels not showing up

The channel line-up and DVR don’t pick up the additional Homerun Prime channels. Tried checking the boxes in Manage Channels but this still does not have them show up. After scanning channels, it now only picks up a very few channels. Yet my Homerun shows 97. How do I get it to see AND RECORD? It is not recording anything now either.

UGH! Now I deleted the HD Homerun and reinstall. Scan and now ONLY the cable channels come up. I set the antenna to only cable. So it seems either only the cable or the local major stations. Not both! How do you fix this?

Hi plex currently does not support both local OTA and the streaming channels.

Because it does not support multiple guides.

You can sort of work around by doing what you did (delete the tuner from plex, then re-add choosing cable), you will have to manually map your local channels to their cable equivilent.

Not all local channels will have a proper cable mapping, this means you will be unable to tune or record any channel without a proper map.

You can use your streaming channels (and/or OTA) outside of plex though, with hdhomeruns native app, or other apps.

You can also go third party and manual setup with xmltv to combine OTA and streaming channels into one guide which plex can import.

There are several threads in the dvr section about this issue.

Plex not announced if the combined OTA/streaming channels will be supported, or any timeline to such support.

So, your only current option is 3rd party, or use something else.

VERY much appreciate your info!
Are Channels app or Emby the same as xmltv?
I don’t really know what this is

no, xmltv is a specialized program that someone created to grab tv listings from various providers and combine them into a single guide that can be imported into other tv applications.

xmltv doesn’t do any streaming etc, it is only to consolidate the guide info into xmltv files.

channels and emby are similar to plex in that they can watch and/or dvr the tv streams from various tv tuners.

Thanks for the info!

I, again, deleted the Homerun, then reinstalled and scanned and for some reason, it scanned ALL the channels and works now. I think it had to do with maybe mapping it as antenna…I think.

Works now! So I don’t need to use the HD Homerun DVR, which is not that great.

Thanks for all the help.
