I have hdhomerun dual, connect and prime devices. The duel and connect work fine for OTA with Plex.
My Prime works sort of but only 11 of the 400 plus channels are enabled. I tried checking all but it reverts back to 11.
After a scan it shows the channel number on the left and an option with a dropdown to choose the channel if wanted. These options are all OTA channels such as 4.1 6.1 etc.
Although it seems to know it is cable before I scan it seems to be treating it as OTA broadcast after.
Any ideas? It’s puzzling.
You would think there would be an option to grab the listings from the local cable company or at least from hdhomerun guide.
My prime works fine with Nextpver, Kodi and all other programs I used besides Plex
The DVR is limited to a single guide. Search forum for command line method of adding a second DVR for the prime on your cable TV.
I deleted the dvr and set it up again. I installed prime first this time. I set up the channels and after all was good I added connect and then dual.
That seem to fix it pretty much. It still had a problem with a few channels but overall good.
So I guess it’s best to set up the cable device first and then ota antenna devices.
So I guess there is no way to set up another DVR from menus. I will check into the command line option when I get the strength to do it.
As long as your cable company broadcasts all the channels you get OTA that should work fine. Hopefully Plex is working on a way of having multiple DVR setups for this exact scenario.
I have 2 hdhrPrime boxes with 3 tuners each and cable provider is Frontier formally (verizion fios) and I get almost all channels even premium channels as long as your cable provider enables your tuner card. there are some blackedout drm channels but i had same problems with HDHRprime box with pervious firmware causing most of my channels to be blocked or not show up. double check your hdhomerun box has lastest firmware it fixed my problems. one box was upgrade and messed me up but I didn’t let second box update so i was 1/2 working till I got latest firmware and now both work great (well except for this new 1.7 switch to mkv, that or something in 1.7 is messing up my recordings cause nothing else changed).

I’ve search this forum with no luck.
Does anyone have an actual link to that page?
Thanks.
This is the post I had seen previously. Discusses command line commands to add DVR and add devices to the DVR over numerous pages of the thread:
Have not tried this myself just read through some of the comments.
