My HDHomerun is not being found it is looking for it at an old io address and I cant get it to change the ip address or even add another instance using the new ip address. when it is looking it just looks and looks on the network… The HDhomerun software does work on my MAC which I use as my PMS so not sure why Plex is not changing the IP address or cheating a new instance with the new IP address. I am completely down here for local TV and I could use some suggestions please.

Use this article to uninstall PLEX from your Mac and then reinstall PLEX. Amazingly PLEX was able to find my HDHomerun after that. Good Luck
Thanks but I well tried that. and that got ride of my my database after getting it setup for a second time. My library is big and takes over two weeks to scan and get it working. Luckily I had a Time Machine backup.
But to the point this did not work. It still did not find the HDHomerun and even putting in the IP address did not find it again. Any other suggestions from anyone.
I had a similar problem and was able to get good tech support through email with HDHomeRun. They can actually look into your home network and check to see if the DVR is working properly. My problem turned out to be a gigabit switch which was somehow preventing my Plex server from seeing the DVR. Anyway, contact HDHomeRun guys at http://www.silicondust.com/support/. They’re really helpful.
Try many options but no love. I think I have a brick (HD HomeRun Connect Quatro). It can’t get an IP address while my old HD Connect 2 tuner connects with no issue. Another piece of junk I’ll have to replace.
