HDHomeRun Pixelation at the Start of Live TV Channel

Hi all, just got an HDHomeRun Duo for Christmas and hooked it up to stream to Plex. Easy setup and the hardware transcoding is nice because Apple TV can’t natively play the TV stream. I am noticing though that for about the first 10-30 seconds of starting a live TV channel, the image is VERY pixelated and then it cleans up and is fine. Considering I’m hardware transcoding, there is no hit on my CPU usage. I have an Intel Core i7 8700K so plenty of horsepower. Wondering why the initial time watching the channel is such a poor quality before eventually improving. Any ideas?

I should also note the pixelation on starting only happens when watching from Plex app on any device but not using the HDHomeRun app on those same devices.

Bumping for a response from the Plex team. Is this normal or a bug? Doesn’t seem to happen when streaming to Shield, only Apple devices. I notice though Shield is directplay from HDHomerun while Apple is a transcode (hw).
