Tuner Make/Model: HDHomerun Prime 3
Hello, I’ve recently noticed that Plex misreports the tuner status when multiple users are viewing the same channel at the same time.
Notice how the HDHomerun Prime only reports a single tuner in use (which makes sense, only one unique channel is being viewed) - but Plex incorrectly reports two tuners in use (one per user) - this can result in Plex “thinking” there are no available tuners in some circumstances when, in reality, there is - resulting in users getting error messages when trying to view Live TV stating “there are no available tuners” when, on the HDHomerun side, that isn’t the case.
Plex probably doesn’t actually check in with the HDHomerun to see tuner status and just assumes that 1 tuner per stream per user - which is incorrect.
