Hello, I’m new to HDHomerun, Plex, Ubuntu. I’ve installed the latest Ubuntu 16.04 and Plex and just purchased HDHomerun. I have plex allowing the recording of tv shows, but I’m not seeing the play option for live tv. Do you have instructions on what needs to be installed on Ubuntu to get live tv working? I’ve been searching for days and getting bits of info to install… the last was to install tvheadend which didn’t seem to help.

I just set up an old laptop as a ubuntu server (18.04 LTS)
Have you installed the hdhomerun or plex media server on ubuntu?
Well this is strange. I left for a few hours and came back and now I have the play button as well as the record button. It has taken me hours and hours across days to get this all working. Using google to find bits and pieces of information of what I need to download and install. I should have written everything down to summarize what I did. I guess if I have to start over again I will try and do that. Thanks to all who have given ideas and tips.
