HDR video won’t play on HDR screen?

Hi, playing on a 4k Apple TV, I originally made this post (https://www.reddit.com/r/PleX/comments/yz1kws/hdr_video_wont_play_on_hdr_screen_other_hdr_4k/) but was told to post here. Basically, I’m trying to play HDR video on my projector, but plex insists on transcoding the video or not playing it at all and saying that no direct video profile exists for http with cointainer mkv and video codec hevc.
