Why does Plex keep telling me I can’t play HDR

This is one of those tricky ones

Out of the blue Plex keeps telling that the HDR movie I am watching may not play properly. Or I need Plex Pass. Or I get buffering

I have. Terramaster F4-423 on the latest OS. I play over the LAN to an Apple TV 4K. Never had a problem for nearly 18 months. Tried unloading and reloading all Plex servers and Clint’s… my TV is. Sony 48A9 and like the Apple TV can handle any video or audio file or format type.

My network runs at 810Mbs.

I appreciate that some cases are very individual

This isnt true by the way.

Pretty much so. Certainly HVEC/x265 for example which I have been playing direct, no transcoding.

But anyway the initial question still remains
