Headless Plexamp on RPi with Bluetooth playback

I’ve have had a RPi with Allo Boss 2 dac hat running the headless plexamp beta for sometime now with no problems. Because I can’t resist tinkering I thought it might also be nice to enable bluetooth playback on the same device.

I used the following script to set it up: GitHub - nicokaiser/rpi-audio-receiver: Raspberry Pi Audio Receiver with Bluetooth A2DP, AirPlay, UPnP and Spotify Connect

I also setup a asound.conf file using the template here: Audio configuration · nicokaiser/rpi-audio-receiver Wiki · GitHub

The bluetooth side works well but Plexamp stutters on play back. It seems to recognize the mixing device and the sample rate I have set but no amount of tinkering seems to stop the stuttering.

This may be more of a linux question but does anyone know what (settings buffer or otherwise) I have to use to stop the stuttering?

Fixed it. In case anyone is wondering the asound.conf contains some settings which didn’t play nice with my setup. I changed the following lines to:

           period_size 1024
           buffer_size 4096
           period_time 0
           rate $SAMPLE_RATE
           format $FORMAT

Not sure exactly how the buffering works for this but this allows me to play either from a bluetooth source or Plexamp (or bother at the same time…).
