Headless Plexamp playback issue on Mac Safari

Guys, Installed plexamp on my RPI 3b and it works well when casting from my iPhone PlexAmp app but I seem to be running into problems when running from Safari on my Mac using the http://ipAddressOfRpi:32500 - it launches and I can browse the linked library but when I try to playback something it just hangs and I see the following error in Safari web console logs:

“this.app.audioController.disableStateUpdates is not a function. (In ‘this.app.audioController.disableStateUpdates()’, ‘this.app.audioController.disableStateUpdates’ is undefined)”

Is there something I need to enable in Safari to get this to work?

Make sure you’ve selected a target for playback by selecting the icon at the top-right and then a player from the dialog which opens:

So, I think my problem I was trying to control the RPI Plexamp by using the url of the RPI and not using http://plex.tv - so on the same Safari instance if I use Plex in the browser and select music I can cast to the PI instance but it doesn’t work if I connect directly to the http://ipOfRPI:32500 etc
