I have Plex Media Server running on my Macmini (Late 2012), LG TV 4K HDR (UJ7500 with Plex App installed) and some video files 4K HEVC HDR.
When I play these videos directly on TV (USB HDD connection) they are perfect (color, resolution and HDR effects, …)
Using the Plex application (LG Store) and the same video files (Plex Media Server) the quality of the videos is poor, colors “washed”, no HDR effects … I checked that Plex Media server transcodes the video (Plex Media Server Service with high CPU utilization)
Plex Media Server, Player settings (Streaming Quality) :
- Local Quality: Original
- Online Quality: Original
- Direct Play checked
- Direct Stream checked
What could be happening? Any idea?
