[Help] August 17th 2016 - TvDB Agent is not matching any of my tv shows, stuck in constnt load cycle

Hello everyone,

Today I added a plugin called Myanime.list into my plex plugins folder. After I did so none of my tv shows could be matched anymore. (Removed and still the same)However fortunately this isn’t the same case for my movies. It will show me the title of movie and its year when I click to match in just a couple of seconds. But for my tv shows and anything tv related. It will constantly keep buffering with 0 results when I click to “match” or click to “fix incorrect match” if anyone can provide a solution thank you very much!!

I’m seeing the same issue on my server and have 3 friends reporting it as well on theirs. Appears TheTVdb agent is unable to pull any info down. You can do a manual match with The Movie Database and it works, but TheTVdb times out with no results.

Ohhh, thank you Runoeh. Btw when I end my plex media server in task manager, how do I re-lauch it open?

I thought the 1.0.3 patch was suppose to fix this.

I don’t recommend doing that moving forward, Plex is a database and hard kills like that can bork things. You can start/stop Plex services via the Plex icon in your taskbar (by the clock) by right clicking.

You should either have a shortcut within your startmenu to relaunch it, or can find it at something like “C:\Program Files (x86)\Plex\Plex Media Server\Plex Media Server.exe”.

Well crap, I just spent the last 4 hours trying to figure out what I did to my server and this is a TVDB issue? Does anyone know what the actual issue is?

Lmfaooo yeah same, I thought my installation of a new plugin messed it all up even did a system restore hahahahahah. I feel so dumb. As far as I know all of this started in the morning for me around 8:50 ish am and yeah sure seems like it. Because I am able to get information of metadata on movies, music but not tv shows.

Please try again, the issue should be gone now.

It worked briefly but now it identifies the show but does not download any data.

This might be a different issue.

Is your library using a different language setting than english?
Does this affect mainly tv shows with a lot of episodes?
Both issues above will be solved with the coming version 1.1.0 of PMS (to be released end of week, they say).

I’m also having this issue. All of a sudden (as of a couple days ago) new TV shows will not match and the Library scan icon for “TV Shows” just spins… I’m guessing it’s a TheTVDB issue, but who knows… hopefully it’s fixed soon.
