Plex can't find TV show informations (agent)

I’m using Plex 1.0.1 and it is not able to find a new TV show i just added even if this show exists on tvdb.com.
On the previous version all was working fine (library “Series” is a TV show library)

In the “fix incorrect match” screen i tried the tv show name and the ID, check screenshots below

Note: the issue seems happen to a lot of people (!!)

I tried to configure an other agent (fan art) but i can’t select it in the selection box:

Please find logs about the search in the “fix incorrect match” screen

Still not working with 1.0.2 (!!!), Can some official support answer please?

I am not able to recreate the problem. If I search for “281622” in either English or French, both produce a result.

Try clearing the agent cache for TheTVDB. See this article. https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/202967376-Clearing-Plugin-Channel-Agent-HTTP-Caches

Hi,

I will try this, i have done a wordaround by using an other agent (movie database)

The issue is still here :frowning:

I tried “rm -R com.plexapp.agents.thetvdb” in the cache directory.

I tried with another show (stranger things) and same problem here (No picture downloaded, etc.)

Logs of the Plex Media Scanner.log

I need the “thetvdb.log”.

Here the log, we can see some 404 not found about URL “https://tvdb2.plex.tv/search/series?name=Stranger+Things”… strange because the iMac has an working internet access

As @geantvert81 pointed out, it seems the same bug.

I have a plex pass, do you have to move this topic in the “plex pass” section?

Same for me

hello it seems that the same problem occurred to me since 10 days. Everything was working fine and neither with freebase, nor with tmdb for movies returns metadata. Fixing options returned no answer
the issue is exactly the same with the TV shows. I will go even further as it is no able no to get local subtitles.
Is there a sync reboot to do somewhere?
Thanks for your help

Try with PMS version 1.0.3, it solved the issue for me.

BR

I’m running PMS 1.0.3 and the problem is still there. Same logs with 404 error. However a 5 full refreshes have downloaded almost 80% of my show library. So it is working intermittently. When i access the same url from a browser i get a json response saying {error: not authorized}

try this one for example:
https://tvdb2.plex.tv/series/282254/images

Anyone know if there is a fix for this issue?

Kind Regards
/Danjel

There is still a problem when it comes to shows with a lot of episodes. This is mostly solved in PMS 1.1.0

That is as expected. Only Plex Servers are allowed to fetch metadata.
