Help! Can't Update My Plex Anymore

After installing the latest update, Plex can’t detect my server anymore. So I had to revert back to the my last update which was back in April.

Any idea what’s happening?

How do you revert back to a previous version? Can find old versions on the PLEX website.

I am having the same problem. The WDMyCloud EX4100 is not being recognized by PLEX either through the app or directly when I log onto the NAS through the myCloud app/direct connect. When I click on App Settings - Configure it says the URL is not found. Can’t find PLEX going through the NAS or recognizing my NAS through the PLEX app.

Looks like WDMyCloud is the culprit here? I am using PR2100.

I have my old versions still in my download folder.

It’s pretty big I would say, 600+ movies. I waited overnight but no success. Used to be that whenever I install the new version, I can access my library right away within a minute. Never had an issue before.

Me either. Always updated and never had a problem before so I am thinking there is an issue with the PLEX update.

I unfortunately remove the old versions cause I never had a problem before.

Log into your MyCloud NAS then select Apps, on the left you’ll see a list under Installed Apps - select Plex Media Server this will bring up the following

App Name: Plex Media Server

Version: 1.41.8.9834

Installed on: Tuesday, 08 July 2025 12:49:32

App Settings: [CONFIGURE]

Run App: [ ON ] - [ OFF ]

Remove App: [ UNINSTALL ]

You will most likely find the ‘Run App’ has been toggled to OFF after the firmware update. Turn in back to ON and you’ll be back in business!

Run App is already ON. When I go to APP Settings and click Configure. It should open the URL for my PLEX but gives me an error message that URL is not found.

Maybe uninstall and install Plex would help

My first step in any troubleshooting would be to get a copy of your Plex Server logs. without more information its hard to troubleshoot.
