Help! I accidentally updated list of authorized IP addresses

Server Version#: 4.51.1
Player Version#:

Ultimately I have been trying to get my plex server accessible over VPN. I set up OpenVPN on my router and can connect to local network resources that way, but when I attempt to connect to my Plex Media server that I have hosted on a jail in FreeNAS, I got the “No soup for you” message saying that I don’t have access to the server.

I was going through the network settings for the Plex Media Server, and came across the allowed IPS without authentication. I stupidly changed the setting for that to my router’s IP thinking that maybe traffic was coming directly from the vpn on the router and that might allow access.

Of course, since I only entered the router’s ip address I no longer have access to any settings or shows locally from my machine now since the only ip that’s allowed is my routers IP.

How do I undo this? I was reading that there’s a preferences file somewhere that maybe I could change?

Thank you in advance for any help.

Something isn’t right here, IP’s allowed without authorization means just that. The selectef IP’s don’t have to give login credentials but all others do. Meaning you should still have access to the server but you would hsve to log in.

Are you sure the server is running?

Get to the terminal window session.

Go get into /var/lib and look at Preferences.xml

Look at the AllowedNetworks preference setting. I suspect there’s a syntax error.

If in doubt, show us what’s inside the quotes (verbatim please)
